In today's session, we first started out by going to a seminar put on by Dr. Furman regarding cell phones, and how infatuated our society is with a cell phone. After learning interesting facts (such as there are more active call phones then people) we went too our respective sections. We met in our little team and broke off, one member was doing some cad drawings, while the other two were getting our presentation ready for next week. In addition, we derived a free body diagram on the prototype of our track design to then scale and have a design specification to design with.
Entry #3 - (09/11/2019)
Our team was working on the full-scale project to figure out to start a new design or follow up the current design from last year group. Dr. Furman then assigned our group to a new project (10m track) as our new full-scale project. we met with Bill James and Jacques Ango to receive data and information of bogie and its 10m track. Bill James has been working with the bogie and its track, and he explained how the bogie has to be attached to the track. Jacques Ango has been designing the track for bogie, and he shared with us on how to design our 10m track that will meet the requirements.
